If you will be using this computer regularly to access your FirstClass account then it is strongly recommended that you download the First Class client. Use of the web login is primarily for computers on which you cannot install the client (e.g., public library kiosk, airport).

Download Client:

To download the New 11.005 Client for Windows click here. (File size approximately 22 MB)

If you select RUN or OPEN the file (when clicking the download link), this means that when the file is finished downloading it will automatically begin the installation process. If you decide to SAVE the file to disk, please select a location on your hard drive that will be easy for you to find after it has been downloaded. When the file is finished downloading, locate the saved file on your hard drive and double-click on the file to start the installation process.

NOTE to Mac Users:

The RCDSB does not offer support for the FirstClass client for the Mac however there is a version that FirstClass has produced that can be installed without support. Click Here for the most recent FirstClass client available for the Mac. Once you have successfully installed the client, be sure that you have configured your client to the correct server of: fc.renfrew.edu.on.ca by completing Step 2 below.

Please Note: The default settings for a typical install can expect to select Next and Yes when prompted.

During the installation process, choose Next to proceed through the installation.
Click on YES for the License Agreement.
The installation process will prompt you to create a Desktop and a Quick Launch icon, please select the icons you wish to add for your convenience.
When prompted for a location to install this application to you are asked to select "C:\Program Files\FirstClass".

In case you cannot find the file that you downloaded, Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/2003/XP users should select “Start” -> Search -> Files or Folders...”. In the filename box, type in FC91*.EXE.

Once the installation is complete click here.

When the Login screen appears, simply enter your user ID and password and click Login.
