PLANTING TREES
Over the past three years, Laurentian's graduating class plants a tree of their choice. This takes place during their graduation ceremony. So far three trees have been planted, a red maple, a blue spruce and a dog wood. This years tree has not been decided upon yet.The graduating class hopes to increase the amount of shade in the front lawn of our school and wants to beautify a very barren strip along Pembroke Street. They also hope to eventually put out benches to make it an area where intermediate students can go to read, talk and relax in the beauty of what the environment has to offer.
