COMPOSTING

Katie Elliott, Carissa O'Connor and Lauren Van Veen, three students from Mrs. Davis gr. 4 class, went to Mr. McEwen, principal of the school, and gave a proposal to have green carts composting in the school. They wrote a letter to the mayor of Pembroke about their idea to have our school involved in composting. They received a letter back from the mayor who informed them that their letter had been passed on to the appropriate councillor. They will find out what will happen in the coming weeks. Next year, we will probably be composting and helping the environment. Way to go Laurentian!
