The GreenSchools Project Q.E.P.S.
Queen Elizabeth Public School participated in the Green School projects in the early 1990's. Queen Elizabeth Public School achieved the status of Environmental Green School on Earth Day - April 21, 1993. All classes in the school helped us reach this momentous goal through logging 100 projects through SEEDS FOUNDATION of Canada.
We continued to log projects and we were recognized for Emerald School status in the ongoing years.
After five years of diligent work and completion of some very rigorous school projects, we achieved our goal - Earth School Status - having logged 1000 projects. We were presented with the Earth School Banner on Earth Day 1998. It was a joyous occasion for Staff/Students and School community.
