Welcome to the Renfrew County District School Board! We are pleased that you have taken the time to visit our website to learn more about what makes the schools in our district special places to grow and learn. In addition, you will see evidence of the pride our staff takes to support our students as they successfully progress along their educational journey through any one of our twenty-three elementary schools and seven secondary schools. Our students are prepared for the challenges of the future with a comprehensive education that includes rigourous academic programs,
extensive co-curricular activities and strong character education programs.
As you navigate through our website you will note the strong emphasis we place on the development of skills for the 21st Century. Innovation, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, communication and collaboration are the skills required for the ‘Information Age’ and we recognize that technology has an important role in allowing our students and staff to connect to the many information sources of the world-wide web.
 If you are not a resident of Renfrew County, I’m hoping our pictures and stories of the schools of the ‘Ottawa Valley’ will inspire you to visit us in person. We are blessed with outstanding scenery, friendly people, and caring communities.
