The library is a great place to do research, work on assignments and read a book or magazine.

Our facilities are for students and staff :
·    9,000 books
·    an area for quiet study with carrels and tables
·    a seminar room for group work, meetings or tutoring
·    15 computers for educational purposes only
·    free black and white printing
·    colour printing at 50 cents per page
·    2 televisions with VCR and DVD players
·    1 infocus projector, with laptop, VCR, DVD and speakers
·    an online computer catalogue to search for relevant library books and encyclopedias
·    a library technician to help students with their research

Books can be borrowed for a two-week period, with renewals available as needed.

Online Resources

Statistics Canada runs a web-based service called E-STAT, an interactive teaching and learning tool, free for the education community.

If students or teachers need to access E-STAT from a home computer, they will need a Username and Password to do so.  The account that was setup for home access is as follows (Both the username and password are case sensitive):

Knowledge Ontario funds access to two databases:

Thomson-Gale Infotrac this conglomerate offers many separate databases.  Read and select those you think most appropriate for your search.

EBSCO Student Research Centre (access to magazine, newspaper articles, primary source documents, biographies etc.)
