Rules
- Opeongo School Dances
1. There will not be a smoke break during the dance.
2. If you leave to go outside during the dance, you will not
be allowed back in.
3. A mandatory cost check will be in effect. Students must
check their coats when they arrive, and can claim them as they leave.
4. No bags will be permitted inside the dance.
5. Random searches of purses and persons may occur, conducted
by a police officer or a dance chaperone.
6. A teacher and two police officers will be at the door to
greet and interview attendees to the dance; if students are found
to be under the influence of banned substances, they will be suspended
and their parents will be notified.
7. Any student who is excluded (kicked out)of dance will be
barred from entering any future school dances for that year. A student
who is excluded from June dance will be barred from entering dances
for the following school year.
8. The school dress code is in effect. Students who arrive
in attire that does not meet the dress code will be barred from
entering.
9. No outside liquids or food are permitted into the dance.
10. Students engaging in inappropriate displays of affection will
be warned once to cease and desist; if the behaviour
continues, they will be excluded from the dance (and thus will be
barred from attending future dance).
11. Guests are only allowed into dance if they have successfully
finished the guest pass process, and arrive at the dance with photo
ID.
