WOW! What a busy and successful semester so far!

Our "Movie Madness" Concert was a great success. It helped us raise funds for some new music and helped towards the trip to Halifax.

May 3 - 7 the Concert band traveled to Halifax to perform at the Atlantic Band Festival. The Band had an awesome performance, then a clinic with one of the adjudicators, then they were off to attend various instrument workshops and performances by other groups from across Canada.

The Concert band came home with a Silver Standing!!!!

The musicians of the band also learned a bit about life in Nova Scotia and the history of Halifax and Peggy's Cove. For many it was the first time seeing the ocean and for others it was the first time out of Ontario! It was a great trip with many tremendous experiences!

A special THANK YOU! to everyone who helped to make this trip a reality for the students!

The Music Department is now eagerly preparing for the annual Spring Concert to be held Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00 pm. The Concert Band will be performing their festival award-winning pieces, along withperformances by the Jazz Band, the Grade 9 Band, Guitar Ensemble and many other talented ensembles and soloists. Refreshments will be served!
Tickets will be available at the door: $6 Adult and $3 Child.

A reminder to Concert Band members - Graduation will be on Wed. June 28. We will be performing!
